Recently, a friend of ours noticed that our Facebook profile had started sporting more posts concerning Plexus nutritional supplements than seemed typical. This observation prompted a “red flag” of skepticism to arise in her thinking: “Wait a second…Are you getting PAID to say these things?”
After messaging back-and-forth with our friend about our family’s new relationship with Plexus, it occurred to me that her suspicions of there being “less-than-genuine” motivations behind our Plexus posts were probably not unique to her. So, I thought it might be a good idea to “clear the air” a bit and get things out in the open about our being Plexus Ambassadors, and how that all works.
To start off, the major impetus behind our personal involvement with Plexus was just that: personal. We had been struggling with chronic health issues for YEARS. [I’m not going to get into those details in this post, but you can read about them HERE, if you’re interested.] We’d tried pharmaceuticals and general dietary changes to alleviate our symptoms, but we weren’t happy with the results.1 After speaking with a trusted friend who is studying to become a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor, we got turned on to the plant-based natural supplements that we are taking now.
To state it plainly, I am freaking ECSTATIC about what these products are doing in my body and how my life has improved since I started taking them!2 Simply put, my life is dramatically improved since making Plexus a part of it, and I genuinely want that same positive life change to be experienced by others.
A good portion of my zeal for these products is probably also due to my communicative personality. This is a trait that drives my wife a little crazy sometimes, as she is more of an introverted “let’s just quietly enjoy this thing together” sort of person, yet she is married to a “this needs to be shouted from the rooftops” husband:
Seth: “Rochelle, I just revamped our homemade pizza recipe, and it turned out AMAZING! Look at this caramelized cheese and thick robust crust! We need to have some people over TOMORROW! I’ll double the batch and…”
Rochelle: (sighing exasperatedly) “Why can’t we ever just make a nice meal, eat it, and be happy?”
Seth: “Because the WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW!”
So, why am I sharing so much about Plexus on social media? A solid part of the answer is because I genuinely believe that it will change people’s lives for the better, and I want to help facilitate that change.
Does turning people on to Plexus put cash in my pocket? Yes, it totally does! And I love the business potential that this reality affords: I can make money by helping people help themselves!
Referral bonuses are utilized by businesses all the time, but Plexus takes the concept to a whole new level!
For instance, when my mom switched her old wood/oil furnace over to a fancy new propane unit, she did a bunch of research to find the BEST fuel provider in the area to supply her propane needs. She ended up landing on a different company than the one we were using.3
After hearing her rave about the great prices and customer service she was experiencing with her fuel company, we ended up switching over to her provider as well. To thank her for helping them acquire a new customer, the company gave her $50 of free fuel. They did the same thing for her when she got a neighbor signed up with them a few months later.
My mom shared a superior service she had found with her friends and family and the company rewarded her efforts. Plexus operates in a similar fashion, except their rewards are WAY better!
Plexus makes it so that any customer who shares their products with a friend can seamlessly transitions from “customer” to “Ambassador.” When I introduce a new customer to Plexus’ life-changing supplements, Plexus rewards me with some bonus cash.4 But then they CONTINUE to reward me with bonus cash every time that new customer places an order!
As if that’s not magnanimous enough, if the friend that I introduced to their products ends up helping one of THEIR friends improve their gut health through Plexus, then the company will give my friend AND ME bonus cash!5 Obviously, the potential for exponential growth here is incredible.
This all translates into a pretty amazing work-from-home situation, as far as I’m concerned: I’m improving my health, I’m helping my friends improve THEIR health, I’m being REWARDED for helping them, AND I’m able to set my friends up to experience the same financial blessings that I’m getting! It’s wins all around!
Oh, yeah, and since there are almost no overhead costs and everything is done online, it’s a risk-free business venture. Not a lot of small business models offer THAT!
So, in summary:
- I am a Plexus Ambassador because their natural supplements and probiotics are changing my life, and I want others to experience that same positive change.
- I am ALSO a Plexus Ambassador because Plexus makes the sharing of their products into a legitimate income stream.
