[Below are a few entries from when I first started dabbling with Plexus.]

Day 1

Alright…let’s see if this “pink drink” is all that they say it is…
I’m starting off with an easy 40 extra lbs around my middle, chronic insomnia, and constant general fatigue. A nutritionist-in-training friend swears by this stuff, so I’m taking the plunge!

Day 3 update:

Soooo…this is a shockingly pleasant development. I have dropped 4 lbs in three days since starting my Plexus regimen and becoming an ambassador!

And, to clarify, my weight does NOT typically fluctuate (especially in the downward direction!). The only times I have ever dropped weight like this have been when I had dysentary in the tropics or Lyme in the States!

On top of the weight loss, I have also had WAY more energy this week! Like, I’m kind of dumbfounded at how good I have been feeling the past few days. I was gearing up for a long-haul before I started seeing results with Plexus, so this is super exciting!

Week 1 update:

After just 1 week of our Plexus regimen, I’ve lost almost 5 lbs (without exercise)! In fact, I’m so happy with how well it is regulating my blood sugar and metbolism (no more sugar cravings or “munchies!”), that we have started two of the boys on a half dose of it as well!

My daily energy continues to be amazing, and though I still wake up for an extended period each night, I am finding it easier to fall asleep initially. My 3 AM wakefulness seems to have lost the restlessness that used to accompany it as well. And that’s just after one week!

Come on, Plexus baby steps, bring me to good gut health!

Week 3 update:

We’ve been having such good results with Plexus that we’ve decided to let two of the boys start taking a half dose of Slim each morning. One of them is looking to stabilize his mood swings (blood sugar) & the other is hoping to join his old man in dropping some weight!

Adding Plexus to our family has been such a game changer with our health!

Don’t Be A Cow

As a general rule, I think we tend to take things for granted. We go through each day, utilizing incredibly advanced technologies, interacting with amazingly unique people, and experiencing wondrously special events, and we do it in a ho-hum sort of way, like a cow...

Often, I write about specific incidents that I’ve experienced in our overseas “adventure.” Sometimes, I write about broader, more topical subjects. But, mostly, I just whine about petty personal inconveniences as though they are on equal standing with the Kennedy...

Here’s the thing about sending missionaries to Unreached People Groups and supporting them: It’s really difficult and expensive. But here’s the other thing: It’s totally necessary. But here’s the OTHER other thing: We’re living like the inconvenience of the first...
